The Department of Anaesthesiology trains students in the essential principles of perioperative medicine, pain management, and critical care. Beginning with airway management and basic life support, students gradually learn anaesthetic techniques, patient monitoring, and emergency response protocols. The department bridges theory with practice through exposure to various anaesthesia modalities used in surgery, ICU, and trauma care.
To develop competent anaesthesiologists skilled in-patient safety and perioperative excellence
With simulation labs, fully equipped operation theatres, and access to critical care units, students participate in anaesthesia planning, IV sedation, intubation, and post-operative care. Workshops focus on ventilator use, pain blocks, and spinal/epidural techniques.
