Q1. Can you tell me something more about FAME academy?
FAME - Service Training Academy is a premier service-training academy For Air Maritime and Earth. We provide a comprehensive and intensive training aimed at preparing students for high flying and glamorous job as customer contact personnel in the Aviation, Hospitality, Travel, BPO, Event Management, Retail, Leisure and Entertainment industries. With its state of earth and industry oriented course, Fame has established close links with companies in all these industries. There is a crying need for good quality trained service personnel by companies in these industries and Fame is helping to fulfill a part of this objective. |

Q2. Does FAME have any formal recognition from anybody?
Companies within the user industries wherein resource persons from these companies have not only contributed in developing the course curriculum, but also facilitate as expert faculty recognize fame. There is no requirement of any affiliation / certification from any regulatory body for courses and programs having a duration of less than one year. |

Q3. Are there many campus of FAME across India ? And if so, where are they located?
Yes, we have our campuses in Delhi , north Delhi and west Delhi , Chennai, Lucknow and Kochi . In 2007, FAME - Service Training Academy shall have a pan-India presence and By 2008 Fame shall be available across 22 cities in India and overseas.

Q4. Are all the campuses of FAME of the same quality in terms of course content and training?
All the campuses of FAME - Service Training Academy are company owned and maintain standardization and a uniform quality in terms of course content and training.

Q5 Is it possible to change one's registration from a campus in one city to another city?
· Under normal circumstances it is not possible. However, under extremely exceptional/special cases, this may be considered.

Q6. Can you tell me something about the total duration of the course and as to how the entire curriculum is structured?
· The duration of the course is 1 year and the entire curriculum is structured as-
. 29 weeks theory based training
. 8 weeks german language
. 12 weeks practical training
.3 weeks off (1 week each between above modules) |

Q7. When is the next batch of FAME commencing? And after what time period will the subsequent batch commence?
Fame shall commence its winter batch by January 2007 at all centers across the country. Thereafter, after every six months a new batch shall commence.

Q9. How many students are you planning to have in each class at Fame?
The number of students shall be limited to just 30 in each class as the entire course is highly interactive in nature.

Q10. What is the class timing/duration and frequency of the class?
Theory Classes shall be held over a 3-hour period 5 days a week (Monday - Friday). Fame shall have 3 shifts per day i.e 8AM - 11 AM, 11 AM - 2 PM , and 2PM - 5PM . |

Q11. Do you have weekend batch, as I prefer to join in weekend batch only?
Weekend batch can be started on popular demand. |

Q12. If I miss one class, will it be possible to make up the same in another shift where the same topic is handled?
No, this is not permitted. You can catch up with your fellow student in case if you have missed any class. In addition, the faculty shall separately assist you in doing this outside class hours. |

Q13. I am also planning to do / am pursing a graduation degree through correspondence along with this course? Will this be permitted?
Very much so, as the course at Fame is on a part time basis of only three-hours each every day during the theory period. In fact, it may be good idea to pursue this graduation program, as some of the international airlines and hospitality chain prefer graduates as part of their selection process. |

Q14. My son/daughter/brother/sister is not good in spoken English. How will you help him/her to improve on this? Or are you suggesting joining some other institute for improving her/his spoken English before starting off at FAME ?
There shall be courses for improvement in spoken English as a part of the entire curriculum at Fame. In addition, Fame may be able to identify some good e-learning courses on improving your English at economical prices and which you can take up in addition at your own end prior to joining Fame. |

Q15. Will you have compulsory dress code in FAME ?
We shall have a compulsory and mandatory dress code for students at Fame. Two sets of uniform are provided to the students by the college. |

Q16. Is there any minimum physical pre-qualification for selection as an in-flight crew in an airline?
Yes, the physical pre-qualification are:
·For boys the height should be minimum 5'7"
· For girls the height should be minimum 5'2"
· Weight in proportion
· Eyesight should be normal with/without correction glasses.
· If you do not meet the above criteria you can still join a well paying job on ground in an airline.

Q17 In case he/she does not meet this criterion will she be eligible to still join FAME academy?
Training for selection as an in-flight selection crew in an airline is just one of the main areas of focus in Fame. However, even airlines (for ground staff positions) and other companies for customer contact positions select persons who do not qualify under this physical criterion. Fame will welcome all these students subject to their being eligible in the admission process. |

Q18. Can you please give me some detail regarding the type of faculty at FAME ?
Fame will have a mixture of permanent and visiting faculty. A large number of such faculties have wide exposure and experience in industries that the students of Fame will be joining on completion of the course. |

Q19. Will you also teach in Hindi?
We reiterate that English is the preferred language of use in all the user organizations, and hence it is advisable that all teaching/facilitation is done only in English. It is because of this that special emphasis is laid on enhancing the level of English in all students joining Fame at the beginning of the course itself.

Q20. Does the faculty member spend time with students to clear doubts?
Yes at regular interval, after class hours and on Saturdays.

Q21. What is the course fee and the mode of payment?
The course fee is Rs.99000/= and the mode of payment shall be one time/quarterly/monthly (see prospectus for details). |

Q23. If two people from my family decide to do your course together, will you give me some benefit?
Yes, a waiver of 5% of the combined fee as long as they are from the same immediate nuclear family unit.

Q24. Can you help in arranging bank loans for the course?
Banks do not give any education loans for non-degree courses. However, we have made special arrangement with some banks for personal loans for students subject to their eligibility as per the banks' requirement. Please check for further detail at the time of admission.

Q25. What is the cost of the prospectus when do I need to make the payment for this?
The cost of the prospectus is Rs.350 and this also contains the admission form. You need to pay the same on the day of coming for the enquiry to any of the Fame campuses.

Q26. Please give me more details about your admission process?
. The process is very simple:
. Purchase prospectus with the admission form.
. Submit the same to the admission department of Fame
. Sort listed candidates will be asked to come for Group Discussions and Personal Interview.
. After GD and PI, you need to pay Rs 10000 as registration fees and then come for the admission on the appointed date on which day you shall have to pay the balance fee as per the scheme opted by you.

Q27. You have mentioned that you would provide a live international flight and hospitality training at an international destination. Can you elaborate? Is there any extra cost for this?
As a part of the live intensive practical training, students will be taken in batches on an international flight to any one overseas locale like Singapore , Bangkok , Kuala Lumpur , and Dubai . They shall stay 1 night in such locale. A trainer will accompany them to give them practical training during the trip. The ONLY extra costs shall be that every student has to bear full costs towards passport making fee and visa expenses. Fame shall assist in getting visa process for their students. All students are advised to posses a valid passport before the commencement of the live practical training.

Q28. Is there any extra benefit that I can have at a later from the beauty certificate that you are offering?
A certificate course from a beauty institute provides you the freedom to also start your own beauty center at any date in future.

Q29. Do you provide hostel facility to all the students of FAME ?
Yes, Hostel facility is provided to students at Delhi . However, this shall be subject to availability of room.
